Calming Beauty Routine

Calming Beauty Routine

We’d like to share one of our all-natural beauty rituals with you. The advantages are that anyone can do this; it works incredibly well and doesn’t cost a thing.

When you wash your face take a warm (not hot) wet cotton or hemp washcloth and hold it over your face for a few minutes. The mild steam helps in several ways.

  • The moist heat helps our skin absorb water so it becomes softer and hydrated giving the skin a renewed effect.
  • The warm steam softens hardened oil in your pores and softens skin enabling impurities, dirt, and residue to exit pores.
  • It improves blood flow. The steam causes perspiration and makes your blood vessels dilate. This action promotes a healthy glow making you look refreshed.
  • Plus, it’s amazingly calming and centering.

It’s really easy to do in the shower but in between showers the warm washcloth trick works really well. Afterward, continue with your normal cleansing habit. The warm steamy washcloth takes your regular facing washing routine to a new level without the cost of expensive products.

The best part of the ritual is that it instantly relaxes your body and mind, and it calms your nerves. The calmness it brings is almost meditative. If you want to take the calming to another level you can add a little bit of scented body oil to your warm washcloth for an aromatherapy effect.
