Have you tried it? Improve health, increase circulation, and give your body some extra exfoliation for bright and smooth skin by using a dry brush. With gentle massage, body brushing stimulates the lymphatic system and promotes detoxification of the skin. Afterwards, apply body oil to prevent flakes and seal in moisture. Here is how it’s done.
Find a soft natural bristle brush with a long handle. Alternatively, a loofah sponge can be used.
Dry skin brushing should be preformed once daily, preferably in the morning. Always dry brush before you shower so you can wash off impurities afterwards.
Beginning with the bottom of your feet and upwards, brush your entire body using long sweeping strokes. Brush from your hands toward your body and on your torso upward toward the heart. Use circular counter-clockwise strokes on the abdomen. Brush upwards on the back and down from the neck. Brush vigorously and with increasing pressure only as you can handle it, but using lighter pressure in sensitive areas. Avoid skin that is broken or has a rash.
After brushing, shower as usual. Now that your pores are unclogged your skin can absorb nutrients and eliminate toxins. Apply body oil to your still damp skin.
Body brushing is easy, inexpensive and energizing. It will leave your skin feeling healthy, invigorated and polished.
